Now that the request for comments (RFC) period has been announced, the IAB is hitting the ground running and is ready to explain the work its global privacy working group has done to design a global privacy platform.

The mission is to streamline technical privacy standards into a singular schema and set of tools that can adapt to regulatory and commercial market demands across channels. This includes support for new markets like Canada and existing markets like the European economic area (EEA) and California.

For the U.S. session, Sheila Colclasure, Global Chief Digital Responsibility and Public Policy Officer, IPG/Kinesso, sets the stage for the discussion and also participates in a panel discussion with Sonia Carreno, President, IAB Canada; and Airey Baringer, Product Leader, TripleLift; Alex Cone, Vice President, IAB Tech Lab, will moderate.

For the EMEA session, Dr. Sachiko Scheuing, European Privacy Officer, Acxiom, sets the stage for the discussion and also participates in a panel discussion with Achim Schlosser, CTO, European NetID; Melanie Deneau, Director Client Services, Sourcepoint; and Carsten Sander, Executive Director, Monetization Technology Solutions, BurdaForward; the session will be moderated by Alex Cone, Vice President, IAB Tech Lab.

The goals of this topic area in the Addressability Solutions Roadshow are to:
  • Communicate the value proposition of the global privacy platform
  • Help attendees understand what the proposed specifications do … and how
  • Build momentum to finalize the specs coming out of RFC period and quickly adopt those
